The face of primal performance

I'm Holly, the founder of Primal Performance. My mission is to unlock the inner elite in everyone. My approach to optimal wellness integrates the power of breath, mental state, and functional movement to enhance performance from the boardroom to the playing field and all manner of environments in between.

As a performance coach, I centre my approach on the mastery of breath. The foundations provided by sound breathing mechanics, efficient and effective use of oxygen and the ability to control the automatic responses to pressure, stress and fear can propel performance to completely new levels.

With a degree in Psychology, I specialize in mental peak performance. I offer training in transpersonal, resilience, and mental toughness to help individuals gain a competitive edge. My contributions have been recognized by the Australian Institute of Sport Women Leaders in Sport Program.

I strongly advocate for treating and training the body and mind through a physiological approach. After my father was diagnosed with sleep apnoea, I explored solutions to reverse the condition, which led me to the transformative power of breath. Certified as an Advanced Instructor with Oxygen Advantage, I have dedicated extensive research and practice to understand how breathwork can positively impact mental and physical health.

I have pursued extensive training through the CHEK Institute, specializing in Integrated Movement Science, Women's Health and Performance, and Neuromuscular Conditioning. My background as an athlete informs my biomechanical approach to sport-specific training and primal and corrective movements to build a fully functional body.

My method is based on the psychological theory of monism, which asserts that the mind and body are unified entities. This approach synchronizes mental and physical processes by utilising corrective breathing techniques, thereby unlocking elite potential.

My experience includes State and National Athletes, travelling with the Australian Karate Team, performing seminars at a freediving facility in Guatemala, Queensland Police Officers, as well as addressing and aiding my clients with conditions including scoliosis, bulging discs, chronic pain, lingering injuries, sleep apnoea, insomnia, anxiety, depression, exercise-induced asthma and more.

Seek to improve your overall performance and longevity. Integrating corrective breathing techniques, mental conditioning, and functional movement into your routine can provide comprehensive benefits for both mind and body. Let's work together to unlock your full potential and achieve lasting health and wellness.
